UX RESEARCHER & DESIGNER
Hello, I’m a User Experience Researcher based in the Twin Cities. I believe in making systems cater to people. I strive to understand how people function and think. When I’m not doing UX, you can find me checking out the latest Internet of things innovations or lifting in the gym.
Thank you for stopping by.

03 My UX Process
Within the UX field, we run into an extremely wide range of problems, obstacles, and challenges. It is important to document and maintain a portfolio but it's also important to document and maintain the UX process and what I do when I dive into a project.
Identification
After distinguishing the attributes of the user I am designing for, I submerge myself into their lifestyle and ask as many questions as I can get answers for.
Research
Reinventing the wheel is a waste of time and there’s a reason your car tires aren’t square. I research the current market and take an objective outside view and analyze what works.
Consolidation
After gaining more information in the pre-existing market, who we are designing for, and how the community views the market, concepts, solutions, and strategy become evident.
Prototyping
Taking concepts and feedback from peers, developers, and managers is not a one-step process. This is a continuous process within a UX project. Prototypes allow me to pivot quickly and precisely within the continuous feedback process.
Execution
Communicating how a recommendation is a winning move and making it clear by keeping all parties' individual needs centered in the design brings consensus and action to the product.
Reflection
UX is filled with ambiguity and uncertainty so the reflection on projects is vital for future growth. Learning to use different lenses and approaches to problems can be the determinant of a success or a loss. You’re only done learning when you say you are.
